Description

The textEncoding property determines or changes the text encoding used by several commands and functions, among them open, numToChar, and charToNum, and \x escape sequences in quoted literals.

Notes

The default text encoding in OpenXION is ISO-8859-1.

The XION Scripting Language Standard specifies ISO-8859-1, UTF-8, UTF-16, and MacRoman as the minimal set of supported text encodings.
